TRans-R-Us of Black-MAXX trannies

Anybody here got or had one of these tranny's?? The price seems really reasonable, just curious about quality and reputation.

This transmission is for any type high performance /super heavy duty use up to 675 horse power or 575 ft. pds. of torque
There is no way a 700R4 transmission can take that type of power for $795. Just not going to happen. They don't seem to have a warranty either so they are probably junk.

I talked with the guy on the phone and he recomended his 12" non-lock converter. After talking with some of the top notch TQ converter manufactures they said he's got to be kidding?!

They all said to go with a tight 9.5 lock-up converter 2800-3000 stall. So that leads me to believe the guy doesnt know what he's talking about or doesnt know our cars and trannys.

just my opinion.

Sounds like the guys have the wrong folks on the phone... which brings doubt about the guys in the shop.
I think I'll stay away from those guys with a 10 ft pole.
