Auburn dead.....maybe?
Okay guys i had my Auburn differntal installed back in August and im not sure but pretty positive that the mechanice put in regular off the shelf gear oil in it. ya know the stuff with the "limited slip additive". Ever since then ive been able to smoke both tires but when im goin into a turn or something where i want the assend to whip out it wont do it, it will act like open rear almost.
for instance. theres this one corner by my work that i like to whip around and as i get into the turn i nail the gas and im only spining that one wheel. why doesnt the other one spin? is it becuz the weight is on that one wheel causing it not to spin?
i know for the auburn posi's you have to use GM gear fluid and GM posi additive. im goin to pick up some when i go to the dealer next becuz i got some 3.73 gears and a TA perfomance girdle cover that i gotta get put in, so ill just have him put the GM fluids in then and see if my posi wakens back up. but what do you guys think?
