t5 ?
whats the difference between a wc t5 and a t5 also what years was the wc t5 in and the years the t5 was in? will a t5 from a v6 fit in a v8? iknow the bellhouseing will have to be changed.

WC is supposed to be a lot stronger. No Don't put a V6 tranny in a V8 car. It will not handle it. It's only a matter of time before it gives up.

ok my understanding is the t5 from the 6 cyl does not even bolt up to a v8 am i wrong?

well, yes and no. The tranny will bolt right up to the v8 bell housing, but the splines are diffrent on the imput shaft. Just get a clutch disk for a v6, and you will be fine.
I found out that this is what someone did on my 85, but i was lucky that i was replacing the v6 tranny with a v8 tranny, and the clutch at the same time.
i didnt even realize they were diffrent untill i found the old clutch layin around and started to play with it, and my clutch alignment tool. go figure.
