hey im new with an 89 formy with a pegleg drum pos rear...also a total noob 2 working on cars...im getting a 3rd gen 3.27 rear with posi and disk brakes in a couple weeks and i need some sort of install guide...i have a friend helping out who has changed rears before just not on an f-bod...anyone know where i could find an article or something???

 

get under the car and take a look. there less than a dozen bolts and a couple of line and e brake to r&r. the rears will be direct swap

 

any extra parts i need to buy...or the rear goes in with parts from the old rear no problem wutsoever...aka no trip 2 junkyard or parts depot required?

 

depending on what you have and what you get you may need adapters for brake lines and may have to change porpotioning valve, but basically it's a direct bolt in sort of swap.
