When i went underneath the car today i noticed lots of diff fluid splashed all above the rear of driveshaft and on the exhaust pipe.

I couldn't tell where it is coming from. The seal looks little wet but it is not too bad and the plastic relief valve is place..

Need help..

 

are you sure its diff oil? it may be motor oil coming from the front of the car...did you look all over the underside?

 

It smells like diff oil and it is so close to where the diff seal is.

That is the only place where there are any leaks.

If it is a diff seal would it be something i can attempt to do? I do have some mechanical experience but not much...

(I changed the clutch ones!!!!)

whether thats whats in the pic or not is up for debate.
