Whats the best lockup kit?

What is the best lockup kit for the trans? B&M, Painless, or TCI ?? I just want it to lockup at highway speeds and behave normal. Thanks

I used the TCI kit 15 months ago when I added one to my 454HO Commander 950 MPFI 1986 Suburban, and it worked fine. That kit also came with a vacuum sensor that should disable the TCC when accelerating heavily, which was handy.

I still thought it was locking up too often at low speeds, like while driving around in town. So I just wired in a toggle switch between the power feed to the tranny. If you're running a 700R4 (as opposed to an electronic tranny), the power is only used for the TCC lockup and you can just cut the power feed to the tranny to keep it from locking up when you don't want it to (like while in town). I just enabled mine when I was on the highway, even used a lighted toggle switch so I could tell at a glance if it was on or not.

Hope this helps, good luck with your project!
