2.77-->3.27...Help with speedo gears??
Has anyone done this swap before?? I want to make sure I have the right driven and drive gears before I actually swap them out for my old ones. I called the dealership and got the parts and they gave me a red drive gear and a green driven gear.
How do I know if these will give me the correct ratio???

When I pulled my 3.27, I thought it was the red gear and gray gear, but I'm not sure. I'll have to go home and look to be sure.

www.700r4.com if you have an auto, I don't know what to tell the manual guys. Just click the links to get you to the speedo gear calculator here:

It tells me for a 245/50-16 tire you need the 17 tooth drive and 43 tooth driven gears. I'll be doing the same swap soon.

I did the same swap (2.73 -> 3.23) on an electronic speedo (92 camaro) and NOBODY could get it right.
700R4.com sent me the wrong gears and when i called them back they said they dont have what i want
My uncle owns a transmission shop and he couldn't even locate what I needed.
Now I plan on getting the unit from Dakota Digital that modifies the electrical signal to the speedo and/or computer. That way it's easier to change if you get tired of 3.23s and go higher.
