hey, would it be a bad idea to put 3.73s in my car considering that i have a near stock lo3? should i wait for a cam to get a longer power band?

You won't lose top end power, but your cruising RPMs will rise considerably. Also, your top speed might be a bit lower.

exactly what Bandit said. changing gears will have no effect on engine power, just the RPM range you use it in...
