Lock Up Questions

I have an 82 Z with a th200c tranny. I have removed all of the emissions canister related equip. and therefore have removed the vaccum lines necessary to activate my lock up torque converter. I would like to wire in a switch to activate it when needed. Yes... I have searched the archives.... btw I have also removed the computer so I can't just short out two terminals on it...

The converter is only controlled by one green wire.

My question is wether that green wire needs ground or power to activate the lock up. The rest of the wiring will be simple, but I'd like to get it right the first time.

you can lock up the torque converter by plugging two wires in the ALDL.....search for *torque converter lock up* theres also a tech article on the website (thirdgen.org) telling you exactly how to do it

What engine did you have originally? Chances are your TCC wasn't computer-controlled to begin with.
