700 will not shift into 3rd

It's full of fluid, my dad said there was a cable that I probably need to tighten. Anyone know?? pictures would help.

The TV cable needs to be properly adjusted.

After you determine that it is already properly adjusted, join the club. It's a common problem.

Alright I have everything hooked up just like that. Took it for a drive got up to about 45 mph in 2nd gear and wouldnt shift into third until about 6000 rpm. Pretty crazy.

I Just let the cable out a little more and it seems to go into 3rd gear a little easier but yea I think I'll be joining the Th350 club pretty soon.

Well now the ****ing cable keeps popping off of the carb linkage. Maybe thats why it isn't working. How can I keep it on there??
