Vibration

hey guys

I need some info. MY 88 700r4 car has a somewhat bad vibration that starts around 65 and stays pretty bad until like 85 ish and it smoothes out some. I replaced the U-joints this evening and it maybe helped some not much. i was told that maybe the bushing in the tailshaft of the trans could be wore out causing the driveshft to vibrate. I'm going to have the tires balanced again to see if something has happend to them also.

Thanks in advance guys.

Get the tires balanced, and get an LS1 driveshaft, they incorporate a dampner on the yoke to lessen vibration.

I had a vibration in my 87 TA and replaced the universals. It was still there. As I was pulling the engine and tranny out to replace the 305 and rebuild the tranny, I noticed some slop in the tailshaft bushing, so when rebuilding the tranny, I replaced it. I will find out if that helped or fixed the problem soon when I get the 355 fired up.

EDIT: Like previous post states, try the tires first. (less work)
