I've already posted this in a big thread under the general forum, but I will post it here as a topic so that it gets more exposure, since nobody will see my post over there (it is under a few other posts, and under a different heading).

I am wondering what can be done to this tranny, if anything, to get more power to the wheels. My car shows about 244HP at the flywheel, but at the rear wheels it is routinely under 200HP, even though the tranny is in perfect condition. I've done reading and it seems this is the norm (20% or so power loss with this tranny). At first I thought the only way to increase the percentage of HP to the rear wheels is by replacing the tranny with a 6 speed manual or something similar, but after reading some of the posts on this forum, I see that there is mods you can do to make the tranny power distribution more efficient. I don't know about shift kits, I thought those just let you control the shifting better, but don't do much to power distribution, am I wrong? A link to a thread (I looked but couldn't find) or a site with mods would be great, or just post it here, which is even better, I am looking for anything that will make my 245HP engine put more of that power to the wheels!!
