Drive Shaft?

I have a th-350 tranmission that I am going to be using with my lt1 carbed setup. The car used to have a 700r4 and v6 engine. I'm looking for another drive shaft. Anyone know what size I need? My friend who gave me the tranny has a few 2nd gen ones that fit the tranny. Anyone know if this will work in my third gen? thanks

There is a length difference betwen some th350 and 700-R4 transmissions.

Can I be a mod instead of you?

if length is the only issue that isn't reason to get another DS, I'd change the length

guess it depends on what you consider easier. easier to me is using a DS with the ends on it i know will work and changing the length to something i need and can use. how? you either cut a piece out and reweld or remove the tube and reinstall a tube of the correct length. use to do it for 25 dollars plus any materials. not sure of the rates now. call some shops in your area and ask about prices.

1st gen 42" shaft, or 42" Ford shaft with over the counter "bastard" u-joints.
