couple quick t56 questions

i got a t56 out of a 95 maro, wondering do i have to cut the hole the shifter sticks threw??? i know the aftermarket t56 is a lil longer, but this is a stock t56 and should be same length as a t5, also can i use the same bolt from the old presure plate to put the lt1 one together???

thanks

drew

No. Since they are unique, you need the T56 PP bolts. I would recommend using a tap on the flywheel holes to chase the threads, getting new PP bolts, and using a tq. wrench. They're a kind of smallish thread and can break off so it's best to take no chances.
