TCC lock up help ????????????

Ok guys heres the Deal i have a 87 camaro LG4 that i changed from computer controlled crab to None computer controlled crab.

SO basically all the computer stuff on the top half of the Motor is gone.

My question is, will my computer still control the Torque Converter Lockup with all that stuff removed?

And if so how would I be able to tell if it was Locking up the TCC?

I have a TCC lock up kit, but id rather not play with the Trans if i don’t have to.

Not sure that it would still work since TCC is controlled by VSS, engine load, % TPS..etc. all read by yhe ECM through its sensors.

To check it for operation drive the car at 50 MPH steady speed, keep your right foot on the gas and push the brake pedal with your left. The tach should show a rise in RPM (200 or so) and drop back down when you let off. If it isn't doing that, it isn't working.

Yeah, thats what I was reading that it was controlled by vss. Well, I guess when I get a tag back on it, I will try taking it up to 50 and doing the test. Thanks for the info.
