700R4 shifting late at WOT

subject says it all...

the car shifts wayyy too late at WOT or near WOT. What is wrong with my 700r4 oh wise forum members??

Transmission: Probuilt 700R4 - 2800 Stall Midwest

Axle/Gears: 3.42

You need to check the adjustment on the TV cable.

When you say too late, at what rpm is it shifting at, and at what rpm do you want it to shift at? The TV cable should be set to where there is no to very little play at WOT. DO NOT back off to get the WOT shifts at a lower rpm, this will destroy the transmission. If it shift at a higher rpm than you want it to shift at, then you will need to address the governor.
