Transmission: 700r4 Transgo Shift Kit
Rebuilt tranny doesnt shift
What would cause an rebuilt 86 700r4 with a transgo shift kit not to shift from 4th to 2nd?

sounds like the pin for the band fell out of palce when you installed it or the servo is not installed right.... the band in the 700R4 is called by many the 2-4 band thats what holds the drum when you get 2nd and 4th gear

If you are trying to make a 4-2 downshift and it doesn't happen, make sure the TV cable is tight to very near tight at WOT. If you cannot get it to do the 4-2 downshift, and it shifts at the right rpm at WOT, then it might not be possible to do this in your case.
