Best diff for a 9"
Hi,
I've been looking at a few options on diffs for a Moser rearend. When the car is finished it may be up to around 650-700hp.I really wanted to use a trutrac type diff. as a friend has one.I like the way the diff action is very smooth on these units. Now the trutrac won't be strong enough but what about a Goldtrac?I've heard these will handle 650hp.Where can I get one of these from?Anyone got any ideas on what diff I should use,I don't want anything too harsh. Thanks Neil.

why not a locker?...with that kinda power there arent to many limited slips that will be able to take it for extended periods of time....the trutrac is the one with the 3 spiral gears on each side of the diff right...
IMO a locker or spool of some sort would be your best bet...

It is going to be a street car.I've already got a spool which I want to avoid using.

I've been running a Detroit Locker for 4 years now on the street with no problems. Once in awhile you'll hear it click when parking but that's about it. It's totally streetable and I highly recommend it, especially at your power level.
