t-5 conversion went well until!

well I haven't had the chance to post due to being soo busy workin on the car and tryin to find the parts I need but the t-5 conversion has went great, I removed everything from the donor car, my factory carpet had the template for the slave cylinder in it so I just had to cut where the spot in the carpet was and with just a few measurements the hole was cut in the transmission tunnel. My problem was, being in a hurry to get everything done being I had no way of getting to work other then catchin a ride an hour before the shop even opens, I over looked the fact that my 2 piece main seal block needed a different flywheel then the one from the donor car. I went through the company we get our parts from at the shop and after telling them on 4 different orders that I needed a 153t internal balanced flywheel, they sent me a 168t flywheel 4 different times. so after being sick of people tellin me they knew what I meant I got online and found a gm part number and I wanted to post it so if anyone ran into this problem they could just go to their local delarship and be done with it. GM part # 14085720

Wow, a new GM flywheel from the dealer. That must have cost an arm and a leg!

I had this problem when I did my swap. I kept getting the wrong flywheel, no matter how many times I said "for a 2 piece rear main." I had to finally crawl under a donor car and pull a flywheel out at 10:00 PM in order to get the right parts and finish the car on time. That sucked!

There are a couple of GM flywheels that will work, with different weights.

Next time you need one, all you have to ask for to get the right one, is the one for 83-85 Camaro/Firebird 305. If you want the lightweight one, get it for VIN code G (the HO motor).
