I just put a t-5 in my 90 rs. i bought it used. When i drive it seems to whine in every gear but 5th. does anyone know what could be up with it.

Do you have a stock or aftermarket shifter?

If it's whining fairly loudly then the bearings are most likely worn. Does it ever grind when shifting gears?

mine whines a little to but i think its mostly my rearend because it has 160k on it... im just waiting for it to come loose so i can put in my new posi disc rear
does your rear whine?

i has a stock shifter. my rear end does whine a little bit but it is comming from the tranny. i doesn't grind unless i don't push the clutch in far enough.
