Fluid change = More power??

Today i changed my tranny fluid and filter i used max life ATF as the replacement fluid. Then i decided to change my rearend fluid i used Mobil 1 Gear oil and the LTD slip addative. When i was done i took it out for a spin and flored it. I was able to actualy leave tracks through a intersection which i had not been able to do before. I have a V6 with 3.23 gears. Would the fluid change make me have more power?

possibly, the synthetics will free up some lost hp, but it won't be much.

Are you sure you didn't spill any fluid onto the tires???

Actually, the fluids won't make you have more power. They could, however, reduce the amount of power being consumed by those drivetrain components.

MaxLife ATF isn't synthetic, is it?

I'd guess the gear lube change had the most to do with the butt-dyno effect. Especially if it was the factory fill that you drained out.
