v8 to v6 torque arm and driveshaft

v8 to v6 torque arm and driveshaft
i was told when i did my swap that i needed to swap my torque arm and my driveshaft so i did ... well my buddy just did the same swap 3.1-350 and he used his stock tq arm and v6 driveshaft and they fit fine.... what gives? aparently you dont need to swap them?

Sounds like you didn't get good information.
The only difference was the type of tranny. A3 and M4 were shorter (therefore DS & TA longer) than T5 & TH700. V6 or V8 didn't matter.

Not sure if this was v6 only or what, but my V6's tourque arm had the tourque arm facing the opposite direction. But its no big deal, you just order the proper tourque arm mount for the tranny.
