Transmission: rebuilt T-5
700r4 not shifting properly

If I'm going 25-30ish, and I floor it, my car sometimes won't downshift, it will just accelerate in 2nd gear, so I will sometimes have to manually powershift down to 1st to get it to downshift (I make sure not to downshift going too fast, as my friend blew 3 pistons doing it). Also, if Im going about 50, and I floor it, same problem, only I let off the gas, then slam down on it again, and It will downshift properly. Is my trans going? What do I do?

Axle/Gears: A weak one & a chained one
Sounds like incorrect TV cable adjustment. My bet is low line pressure. Low pressure, in my experience, is often indicated by soft, early shifts.
