need help with a T5
i have 86 berly that i drop a 350 vortec with the center bolt on the valve covers out of a chevy truck. i started to soup up the motor and i blew the clutch. so iput a new clutch in but after a month of daily divering and weekly racing the tranny blew. i think i really missed it up only gear i get is fourth but i have been with out my car for about year and i miss it dearly . i just want to get it running not for pure racing. so my question is where can i find a transmission for my car and what standard transmission will fit ?
a local race head here in the town i live in wanted to put a 4 speed monsy in it and make a crossmember to fit ?
does this sound like it would work?
thanks for all the help new to the site

a muncie? if he can make it work with a hydraulic clutch setup, go ahead. but muncies are manual clutch trannies. also, spohn makes a crossmember to fit the tranny, that moves the torque arm off of the tranny, and onto the X-member, and uses the stock mounting pionts. good luck.

Just get a World Class T-5 from either a junk yard or a newly sooped up one from some where. You could prolly find a used one cheap from hawks or online.
BTW: Are you from New Mexico too, which part?

Even a WC T5 will need help if you plan to put some serious torque through the thing.
Your best bet would probably be to scrounge a WC T5 out of a JY and have it rebuilt with the stronger aftermarket innards. Then you can beat it on the track and not worry about it coming unglued.
