clicking sound when in gear and stopped ?

Car: 87 camaro sport coupe convertible
Engine: 305
Transmission: auto
clicking sound when in gear and stopped ?
Intermittently I get this clicking sound, about 0.5 to 1 hz when I am in gear (overdrive) and stopped, or when I am approaching a stop. It sounds like it is coming from the tranny but I am not sure.
Any ideas ?

I think I know the sound your refering to My tranny guy told me there is spring in the valve body that vibrates most likely that is the noise your hearing
