new th350 won't go into gear
we just finished everything up today...hooked up the vacuum lines and poured some ATF in started the car and when i tried to put it into gear...nothing. it just revs like it was in neutral or park. could this be a fluid issue, tranny was bone dry when we put it in so does it need more than the recommended fluid amount? thanks for any help.

It should take between 10 and 11 quarts of fluid.
Pour in about 5 or 6, then start the engine, then pour in 4 more as quickly as possible; then let it warm up, and top it off.

ok, well solved that problem car drives now!!!! Thanks a lot RB83L69. Now i've got another question, the guy who rebuilt this trans said he put a shift kit in it but when i'm driving it i feel the hesitation for it to go in to gear when i upshift manually, is this a vacuum modulator thing? Oh yeah, is there a break in period for a rebuilt trans?
