which bolts go first? tc or trans

Car: candy blue 85 z28
Engine: 305 tpi LB9
Transmission: 700r4 crazy beefed up one
Axle/Gears: ones with teeth
which bolts go first? tc or trans
what is the proper order to install 700r4, with tc?
does tc get bolted to fly first or stick tc in trans bolt up trans then t/c.
just for my knowledge. when i removed i unbolted tc first then trans. so i would assume trans then tc bolts,
