I already did a search, and came up with a lot of info on the cable driven speedo's, but not too much on the electric vss cars like my 92 RS. I need to know the gm part #'s for the 15 tooth drive and the 41 tooth driven gears for my 92 auto RS. Also, is there a different vss I need to order to work with the new gears?

 

I found this for the for the 15 tooth in the FAQ section:

"With drive gear number 8642620, (gray, 15 teeth) the following combinations apply:"

I also found this:

25513048 41 Yello 25007339 (first # is the gear part # and the second is for the sleeve)

I just installed the grey (15 teeth) gear in my car with an electric speedo so I can confidently say that is the correct part number. The yellow gear (41 teeth) I'm not so sure about. I don't know if it's a cable part#, vss part# or both.

 

Never mind. I just noticed someone gave you a complete list in another thread.

 

I'm almost positive I have the correct speedo gear #'s.

15 tooth drive= 8642620

41 tooth driven= 25513048

What I'm not certain on is the correct vss for that combination. The # 25007339 you listed doesn't exist according to gmpartsdirect. What is the part # for the correct vss I need?

 

Sorry, I have no clue on that. The gear and sleeve part numbers I provided are from the Thirdgen.org "FAQ" section found on the home page. The gears are a little over half way down the "FAQ" page. Hope this helps.
