Will the transmission from a Pontiac transport 3.1L V6 -91 fit in my Firebird RS 3.1L V6 -92??

How can i be sure that it fits?? the thing is that the guy that owns the trans from the transport is living so damn far away, there is no way for me to see the tras before i get it shipped to me.

Pontiac transport is a Front wheel drive mini-van right? It wont fit. You need to find a rear wheel drive vehicle for what you are attempting. Maybe an s10 with a v-6, but you would have to change the tailshafts so you could use the torque arm.
