How's the linkage from the shifter? Did the bolts work loose at the trans?

Do you have a B&M Megashifter? Every few years, my cable wears out- and when I put the shifter in Park, the trans shift lever (under the car at the trans) won't go into park. I have to shut the car off, put the e-brake on, jump under, and move the shift lever with my finger into "Park" until I can get a new cable.
