ok i'm driving down the road today and i see a bunch of smoke coming from under the car so i pull over and the exhaust is steaming hot and there is something on it so i get the car home and look under it and it looks like to me it is rearend fluid......its not red and most of it is fromt he back of the car....it looks like dirty oil.....the car has been wheel hopping really bad latley just b/c of the sticker 17 inch tires and wheels.....is it the front rear end seal or possibly something else........help me now i'm gona try to fix it tomorrow so info is much needed ASAP

 

only way to know for sure is to take a look see ... get ahold of the rear end yoke and see if you can move it back and forth ... if it moves then you have more problems than a seal ... you could pull the cover and see if there is fluid in it that may help to isolate where it is comming from ... hope this helps some ... tao

 

There's also a plug on the right side of the pumpkin under the thick ridge. The oil level should be up to the bottom of the hole. If you haven't had the rear open yet, now might be the time to pull the cover and check it all out.
