Swapping to a T56
I got a great deal on an LT1/T56 combo from one of my friends who owns a junkyard. I wasnt planning on doing the T56 swap originally, but since I got such a good deal, I am thinking about it. What would be involved in swap in a T56 from a 700r4 car? Thanks

well first of all you will need a flywheel
but if you have an 87 up car you can use the stock LT1 flywheel if you have a 2pc rear seal block you will need an expensive centerforce flywheel made espically for that application
also you will need a crossmember that fits the T56
www.spohn.net is who i used
any questions just throw them up

It's not hard. With the right flywheel and crossmember, it's nearly a bolt-in. Getting the stock speedo to work with the T56 is probably the biggest headache in the swap.
Run a search, it's been covered NUMEROUS times. I myself have posted part #s and prices and various things so I know it's out there.
