Anybody know where to get "transmission stand"
Anybody know where to get "transmission stand"
Looking for a "transmission stand" that goes into the head of an engine stand. Looks like a big C clamp. Lets you work on transmissions using your engine stand. If you know where to get one please post. Thanks
I'm looking for the kind that looks like a C-clamp. That way you can install the output shaft and clutch packs with the trans vertical. I used to use a bench with a hole cut in it. Like the one below, but hopefully cheaper (this one costs $169).

Well, its definately not as cool as that stand, but it is cheap. I use a 4wd extension housing so the tranny can sit flat on the floor. Granted you have to use a couple blocks of wood once you get the output shaft in, but it works. You do have to be careful not to knock it over though...
