350 L98 Computer
350 L98 Computer
I'm sure this has been answered before but I have not seen it. Do you have to change the computer from a 1991 auto 350 L98 when switching to a T56 Manual?

No, but you'll at least need to put in a maunal transmission memcal (or get the stuff and do your own prom) - plus you'll need to rewire the starter-neutral safety switch to your clutch pedal. You also won't have the "SHIFT" light normally on manual cars.
so you mean you have to move the neutral safety wire from the auto to the clutch pedal, and do you mean that the current auto prom needs to be programmed for a manual?

Both --- the neutral wire has to be moved as well as starting with a manual prom (idle settings, timing, etc. are all different for a manual trans as opposed to an auto trans).
