10bolt tech article
Are there any good step by step tech articles on how to rebuild a posi unit and /or a step by step setting up the rear end for a 10 bolt on the third gen board?
How about a link to the same somewhere in internet world?
I have done some searches, but can't really seem to find what I am looking for/need. I do (or try to) all the work on my ca myself, and am not afraid of doing a job like this--just don't have the info I need to guide me through the job.
Also, a question--The rear end in my IROC whines a little while cruising 35/45 mph--goes away when no power is applied. I do take it to the strip and run it hard occasionally and there is no sign of it letting go, nor is it getting louder or changing pitch or speed when it whines.
Question is: Once the wear patern is set (rear end is a couple years old--probably 8/10 thousand miles ???) can U readjust it to the specs, or will that do more harm than good, since U would be seting a new pattern over the old one?

think bernard has one on his site still. try sethirdgen. it isn't so much a spec as a range the measurements fall within. if it's outside of the range there'sa good chance you've got damage
