I need quick help???
Okay, today I started my installation of LS1 Rear discs, Torsen take-off diff, and Moser axles. I got everything apart just fine, reinstalled ring gear, reinstalled diff, got the caliper brackets on just fine, and slide the axles in just fine.
My problem is that the paddle that the Torsen uses to push between the axle ends doesn't want to go in. I pushed the axles as far out as they would go with a large prybar and I greased the paddle thing up pretty well and lightly tapped with a dead blow mallet. It didn't want to go in. I didn't pound on it because this seems to be incorrect by my thinking and I don't think it would come out once its in without a fight.
What does anyone think??? Anyone have a similar problem???? I will try the stock axles in the morning to see if they fit. I was thinking I could grind down a little material from the Moser axles, but that would be absolutly the last resort.
Help me out please. Thanks in advance...
