tci street fighter 700-r4 will it work?
I have a carbed 350 in my 86 transam that was originally a 305 tpi 700-r4 car. some people have told me i should do a turbo 350 swap but i do alot of highway driving. So iwas looking at aftermarket 700-r4 and wondering if they have mounts for the torque arm bar or can i re use the original one on a new transmission. Will the tci streetfighter 700-r4 work?
If you do a lot of driving, dont get a th350. I got one, I love it, but I dont do a lot of highway driveing. The trans will work, it'll need your tailshaft so you have the torque arm mount. From what I gather, you should look at pro-built before you buy a TCI though.

Man if you every plan on doing anything to make any power in that car get a Pro-Built and be done with it. I went through a B&M and a TCI and had almost given up on the overdrive tranny till I found out about pro-built. I bout one of Dana's tranny stuck it in and have not had another single problem with it. Pro-Built is the only place I will ever buy an overdrive from again. Dana is a great guy to deal with and makes an excellent tranny that will hold up to what ever you can throw at it.
