Lower Shift Lever Boot
Greetings!
I am replacing the clutch in my 89 Camaro RS 2.8L 5-Speed. After removing the console and shift lever I noticed that the boot was torn and was letting dirt and rocks down into the ball joint of the shift lever. This is the boot on the actual lever, not the first boot that comes off with the console, and not the second boot that separates the console from the underside of the car. This boot is on the lever and has a spring clip that allows you to remove it (if it's torn, ha!) But I can't figure out how a new boot would be able to slip over the shaft because it widens towards the bottom. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Lower Shift Lever Boot
IIRC GM # 12542549 will replace it and slip over and fit
