What stall convertor?
I bought a used 700R4 today. It is from a 1990 camaro vin#1G1FP23E4LL124860. They also gave me the torque convertor. It has some #'s on it DG5C and 8653087 with 6R stamped all around it. I believe it is a 12 inch.
Any way to find out what the stall would be on this convertor?
Based on my specs what would the best stall speed be?

Well techinally speaking you would be buying a torque converter with a stall rating of x,xxx rpm, not a stall converter!!! :lala:
Sorry... that is just one of my pet peeves...
With a stock motor, I would say no more than a SLP 2400 stall TC... W/ more mods, bigger cam, etc... you would need more.
I am about to put in a Yank 3500 rpm stall TC in my car... to match up well w/ the setup I have though. I may go bigger depending on how well that works...
The size of the stall RPM will depend on your current setup.

Would you say mine is mildly modified. It is all bolt on from the block up.
So 2400 - 2800 would be about right?
Any idea what the one they gave me would be?

More than likely its a stocker... so about an 1800 probably.
You could get an S10 converter, same as the Vette pieces, which is a 12" 2200 or 2400 I think...
I would use that or an SLP 2400...
