Should I get a locker?

Alright guys, I currently have a brand new eaton posi and a set of 3.42's ready to finally go in after a long time of just sitting there collecting dust. My car is a daily driver, and has occasional track duty. I already have the front sway bar removed and a set of drag radials on the back, so corner carving is not a concern, just street/strip, and money is not a concern either. Should I buy a locker and sell the eaton, or should I just go ahead and install the eaton?

Is the Eaton a "Gov-Loc"? If it is, then sell it on ebay and get a real posi. I was a dum-azz and bought one of these units for $50.00 new off ebay 2.5 years ago, and had it installed last year before I knew that they were actually "Grenade-Locs". Very weak and prone to breakage behind a V8. Now I have to baby it till I have the money for somthing else.

Stick with the Eaton. It is a really good unit and you shouldn't need anything more serious than that with your L03 (even with your juice plans).

I am assuming that you mean this as long as it is not a "Gov-Loc"?

I think he is refering to their limited slip line. I could be wrong.

yes, it is the limited slip like shifty posted. No need to reply though as I have decided to stick with the eaton. Sometimes I ponder so hard on my setup I get to thinking stupid thoughts and want to change things for dumb reasons.
