hey all i own an '88 trans am gta 5.7L 350TPI with the TH700R4 and 3.23 in the rear, i am currently swapping to a TH-400, and i dont really know what in the hell to do about my speedo cuz i know it wont be right anymore! anybody have any ideas?

ps the 700r4 is electric spedo (?)
and the th400 is cable driven...

 

anybody have any ideas? do i need to buy a new speedo sensor cuz mine is electronic? what about a new gear??

 

If yours is electronic you will need an electronic one for the trans. I dont know if they use the same one or not, you could try I guess, it it fits. If not, you could look for one for a th400 and buy it.

 

I specifically took that picture of that part of the cable asking what those grooves in the cable are for? Are they just there for looks or do they serve a purpose which I think they should. But the way my cable is attached they do not serve any purpose at all.

 

Do you know where i can buy an electronic speedo sensor?? that was supposed to be my main point hehe but i didn't get it across well, my bad, thanks for the other info though!
