flex plate to converter

i put a bow tie 700 in today and i have a question since i have never touched an automatic. when i put the 3 bolts into the converter it pulled it towards the flywheel about 1/8 to 1/4 inch. is that normal? just wanna be sure before running.

Yes, that's what it's supposed to do. If it doesn't, you have a problem.

RB is correct. Mine did the same thing and operates perfect. If it was really tight, you would could have some big problems
