Car: 1986 Camaro Z28
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: Who orders an auto in a Camaro??
Axle/Gears: Economy gears..once again, WHY?!?
Can you do this to a rear end?

Can you use the housing and axles of a unlimted slip rear end and just take limited slip guts and put in? I would think no, and that it wouldn't be very cost effective as opposed to getting a used rear end. Just curious, cause one day here i want to get rid of my one legger rear end in my z. Also, what is the best rear end to look for for my 85 z28? I hear alot about the 10 bolts.

in most cases you just need to be comparing apples to apples. same splines same size and its mostly an easy swap. or you can upgrade to a zexel torsen unit with 28 spline axles for fairly cheap. for a 305 with average hp most 10 bolts are great
