3.08 to 3.73, speedo questions
Okay so here are my questions, first how many teeth would be on the drive gear of an '83 700r4 from a 3.08 car, and with what driven gear could i make the speedo accurate using this tranny.
Also under what circumstances would i NEED to change the drive gear. Thanx

You will need a 15 tooth drive gear and a 45 tooth driven gear. You will also need the offset housing. (for the bigger gear)

thats just a calculator though, it gives me no definite answer to how many teeth the stock drive gear has.

Drive gear 17 teeth, speedo gear 41-43 teeth. Dependes on your tire size what speed gear you use. Check out Tricksters answer and chart to my question Speedometer drive gears.
