Planning on getting a new trans and want to change rear gears...what ratio??
Have a stock 91 305 TBI Camaro planning on getting a new street/strip trans not sure on the stall yet but want to change the rear gears at the same time. What ratio should I go with?? Is 3.73 too much for a 305??

You have a 305 TBI, your stock tranny is fine. Go with a 3.42 or 3.73 gear deoending on your future mods. You want to cross the traps a few hundred rpm past the point where you make peak power.
I'd say 3.73 for TBI even modded. 3.42's are more for the powerband of TPI motors w/auto's.
The converter is going to depend on what your finished engine specs are, 2400 to 3000 is norm. Finish you car, dyno it so you know where you what the stall and custom order it based on your specs...
