It was a 7½" 10-bolt.

Yes there are posi upgrades available for it.

There may also be better gear ratios that you can get for it; that would of course depend on what's in it now.

I don't have an extra posi that will fit it, so I can't help you out very much.

Probably a regular 7.5" ten-bolt (count to see if it has ten bolts holding the cover on). Plenty of mods and upgrades available. Just click one of the sponsors up top.

Transmission: TH-400, 3500 stall 9.5" converter
Axle/Gears: Ford 9", detroit locker, 3.89 gears
If the car is a 1988 2.8L camaro (same as what mine came out as)

it's a 7.625" 10 bolt, with 30-7/16" long 26 spline axles, 3.42:1 gear

82-84 is 7.5" with 26 spline axles

85-89 is a 7.625" with 26 spline axles

90-92 is a 7.625" with 28 spline axles

There's alot to pick from when it comes to limited slip units. The aftermarket is full of them... Everything for clutch to cone limited slip units, to lockers, spools, and mini spools

Depends on what's in it now.

If it's 3.08 or lower, you'll have to hange the carrier (which you would anyway to make it posi); or use a spacer; or use the "special" gears.

If it's 3.23 or higher, regular gears will work on your existing (non-posi) carrier, that you want to get rid of anyway.

Doesn't seem to be much of an issue, really; since you want posi. Get a 3-series posi carrier, and 3-series gears will bolt right up and work.
