Quick rear end question

hey guys; i just need to know if the yokes that hold the u-joint on the driveshaft is different on an 89 BW 9 bolt from an 88 10 bolt. The one on my 9-bolt is damaged and i have a perfect 10 bolt one i can use. it looks like the nut is smaller on the 9 bolt than the 10 bolt. i tried pulling the yoke off the 9 bolt, but i don't have the tools to do it right, and after almost 2 hours the other day trying to get it out, i'm out of patience for it. i can't find another 9 bolt yoke around here so if anyone can help me, it'd be great. thanks!

p.s.-my question pertains to the yoke on the rear end.

pretty sure they're all the same. since you already have one why not bolt it on and you'll know for sure

I pulled off my 9bolt and bolted up a 10 bolt with the same driveshaft and had no problems. I didn't know I had a 9bolt till my friend I sold it to told me, we both assumed it was a 10 bolt.

thanks a bunch guys for your help.

ede-the reason why i haven't checked yet was because i could not pull the yoke off the 9 bolt. it was strange; i remove the nut and yoke on the 10-bolt, then it slid right off with little or no force. i hammered and pryed on the one on the 9 bolt for almost an hour and it would not budge. i don't have the puller, so i was able to rig up another puller, but it did nothing. tomorrow, i know a guy who can probably have the old one off and the new one on in a few minutes. i'll check with him, and if he has the time to do it, then i'll be good

can you count the splines on the 10 bolt one? I have a couple 9 bolt ones sitting here with there gear sets. so I could count the spines if it would help. my 10 bolt rears are in storage so I cant try them.
