draining torque converter

I just removed the torque converter from my tranny. When i tipped it upside-down to drain, about 1/10 of a quart came out. So i tipped it back, then tried again. Again, 1/10 of a quart. How am i supposed to drain the 2 quarts out of this thing without having to tip this heavy beast back and forth? Also, what's the right way to fill it back up?

We've drained a few of them by setting them upside-down over a 5 gallon bucket, and left em like that overnight. So far as we can tell, they are either empty or pretty damn close

To fill it back up, just use a funnel and slowly pour 1 quart of fluid in it. If you go to quick, you're gonna have 1 quart of fluid all over your bench. Ask me how I know

Just remember that you don't need to fill it completely to reinstall. The idea is to just provide a prelube, it will fill itself once you fire the car.
