The last week or so, every time I give my car more than gentle throttle, I get a huge BANG of something hitting something else. I can feel and even SEE this bang in the shifter. I assume my transmission mount just fell out and the transmission is twisting and hitting something? Or is this a more serious problem?

 

Broken tranny mount... easy to fix... put jack under tranny just to hold its weight, take crossmember off, bolt on new mount, then replace the crossmember. Easy to fix and cheap too! My old V6 car I replaced with an OEM one, but a lot of guys on the forum here suggest using a poly mount...
