Low-reverse piston, very tight fit.
Like the topic says, my low reverse pistons fit with the new seals was a tad on the tight side. Like, tight as in I couldnt put it in by hand. I checked the seals and they where all seated and completly lubed and the pison notch alighned with the tab in the case, but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldnt get it in. I used my homemade spring compressor to very gently draw the piston in and it worked, but I dont know how the springs could ever push it back once its applied the clutches. Even though it only took a couple of ft-lbs on the wrench, I would imagine it would have been closer to 300 or 400 lbs to seat the piston.
Is this a common problem? Should I let the piston and seals sit in the case for a bit and later when I get the spring assy. on carefully air check it to see if it returns? Try different seals?

Once you lube the seals, and lube the related parts, you will have to tap on a long shaft with a hammer to bottom it out. To air check this you will have to install the clutches & steels, pressure plate and snap ring before doing this, and to check clutch clearance.

The pistons bottomed out, but it seems like it took alot more force then it should have. I can nearly compress the spring assy. with my weight yet even putting my full weight on the piston it wouldnt budge.
As for checking it, once thats all assembled I apply it and then afterwards check the clearance between the low-reverse support and the snap ring to make sure it retracts ok?
